We built a new website that works well on all devices and is easy for people to use. It helps visitors find information quickly and allows staff to update content.
We provide secure and reliable hosting for the website, so it stays online and loads quickly. This hosting is provided through our private Canadian server, located on Treaty 6 territory in Edmonton, AB.
We rewrote the website content to make it clear, friendly, and easy to understand, so people know what Recycle Plus does and how to get involved.
Saltmedia partnered with Recycle Plus, a non-profit bottle depot in Grande Prairie, Alberta, to redesign and modernize their website. The goal was to enhance accessibility, streamline user interactions, and align with the organization’s mission of offering inclusive employment opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Recycle Plus operates two bottle depots—PLUS I and PLUS II—and is owned by Signature Support Services, a nonprofit that supports individuals with developmental disabilities. The organization plays a valuable role in the Grande Prairie community by offering employment opportunities, promoting sustainability, and raising funds through initiatives such as the Cans for Kids program and the Bottle Donation Program with Aquatera.
The existing website was functional but outdated. It lacked mobile responsiveness, had accessibility issues, and required manual updates for content. The client also needed a streamlined way for users to register for direct deposit refunds and access community programmes without increasing administrative workload.
Through collaborative content reviews and stakeholder feedback, Saltmedia identified opportunities to simplify navigation, rewrite content for clarity, and integrate user-friendly forms. The team also addressed technical concerns, such as replacing image-based guides with HTML for accessibility, and ensured the site could be easily updated by staff.
We launched a brand-new website for Recycle Plus that works well on phones, tablets, and computers. It’s easier to use, with clear menus and updated content that helps people find what they need quickly. We have added a simple online form that allows customers to sign up for direct deposit refunds without needing to call or visit in person.
The site also makes it easier for people to learn about Recycle Plus’s community programs.
We live, work, and gather on traditional, unceded, and treaty territories of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples from coast to coast to coast. We’re committed to our collective responsibility to the original caretakers of this land and to listening, learning, and acting in ways that support reconciliation.
