Our office will be closed September 30 to Honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
The staff and family of Saltmedia and IT Horizons are dedicating this day—and every September 30—to give respect to the Indigenous peoples of Canada and to work towards the necessary goal of truth and reconciliation.
We acknowledge that this is work that should be done every day in Canada. At the same time, we are immensely grateful for this important step of a National Day. As many of you know, Saltmedia is a proudly Indigenous-owned and operated business based in Grande Prairie.
Every Indigenous Canadian that you know is directly impacted by the residential school system. Everyone. We believe that an essential step towards addressing this impact is to listen and learn.
On September 30, please take time to hear stories from our Indigenous brothers and sisters.
Message from the President

"I have been working towards learning my culture. At one time, my ancestors were proud to be who they were—to be Métis. My granny always told us to be proud of being Métis. Sometimes this is difficult, as I try to recover what was lost of our culture, beliefs, traditions, and search for my identity.
I stand in solidarity with all Indigenous people. Like all Canadians, and all global citizens, I recognize that we have much to learn about our history. I am ready to listen and learn."
