The project involved creating a new bilingual website for NIEDB that is more Indigenous, accessible, and user-friendly, with less of a ‘corporate’ feel. The website includes pages, news/articles, a document library, search functionality, multilingual support, board members & secretariat listings, and a social media feed. The redesigned website reflects Indigenous values and aesthetics while making updates and maintenance easier for the NIEDB team.
Graphic design played an important role in the visual appeal of the NIEDB website. We created a new logo that embodies Indigenous elements and a comprehensive visual brand guide to help maintain consistency. The branding assets were designed to be versatile for use in letterhead, publications, and other materials. If you look carefully, you’ll find elements of the logo providing a beautiful background across the website.
Brand development was a key aspect of the project. The team worked on creating a cohesive brand identity that reflects Indigenous values and aesthetics. This included enhancing the logo, creating a visual brand guide, and developing versatile branding assets for various uses.
We live, work, and gather on traditional, unceded, and treaty territories of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples from coast to coast to coast. We’re committed to our collective responsibility to the original caretakers of this land and to listening, learning, and acting in ways that support reconciliation.
